About Me

I fell in love with guitar the moment I picked it up at 17. Music ran in my family – guitars and other instruments were always around – so when I started playing, it clicked immediately. Within six months I was in my first band. That obsession hasn’t faded in forty years.

I studied music theory in college and privately under a classical instructor who had a rare gift for translating theory into rock and roll. That foundation shapes everything I teach.

My playing has taken me across the entire US, through six European tours (including Eastern Europe), and to Japan. I’ve released 12 recordings – including five full-length vinyl albums – and built my own guitar-bass hybrid instrument, developing an entirely original approach to the instrument along the way.
